Welcome to
Baby Bear's Blankets

Welcome to BBB. We are so happy that you have decided to stop by and find out more about our plans to reach out to other families that have experienced such a sad and life changing loss. Please continue through our site and contact us with any questions that you might have.
BELOW is more info on what we do!

What we do!

Baby Bear's Blankets started after the loss of my daughter Baby Bear. She was born in Valley Baptist Medical Center's OR and passed away in her daddy's arms in that same room a few seconds later. It was such a tragic and heart breaking loss that changed our family FOREVER. We were lucky in the fact that we had prior knowledge of our daughter's illness and that she would not be able to survive outside of the womb. Because of that we were able to prepare a few simple things that would help with the long days and nights a head of us. One of those things was Baby Bear's Blanket.

A few months after the loss of our daughter I was able to contact VBMC's Labor and Delivery Dept and get the ball rolling on a new Fetal Loss Program. We were given permission to start BBB in there hospital. We make hand made receiving blankets that are given to other parents who will suffer the same loss that we had to go through.

Our first sewing day was January 31st 2009. Since then we have donated over 100 blankets to there program for families that needed them. These blankets are so special they are a piece of that moment that there child was alive or in there arms and that momento gets to go home with them for them to hold onto in the moments when empty arms are just too hard to bare.

Please continue through our website and read all of the information. We hate that this need exists, we wish that no family had to go through this sad and heart breaking time. But, since there is the need we ARE going to fill it!

If you can donate, time, money, materials or anything please feel free to contact me at any time. We can use all the help that we can get. We hope that some day we can reach out to all the hospitals of the Valley and spread the blessing that Baby Bear's Blanket was to us and to so many others on.

Thanks you for your time.
